According to census figures from the latest 2006 census of Ireland – the town of Crosshaven in Cork has the highest percentage of voluntary workers in the Ireland.
22.2% of people aged over 15 in Crosshaven are involved in working for or helping with social, charitable, religious or sporting organisations.
Duleek on the other hand – has the lowest percantage of voluntary involvement – with just 9.67% of the over 15s reporting that they are doing some sort of voluntary work.
